Default How much meat can you eat in a meal?

I like my meat raw, and sometime scarf down a pound of beef in a sitting... I've never tried eating more than that but probably could. How much will you eat in a meal?

Right around a pound is my usual serving size. I also like my meat raw, or close to it. I sometimes eat a little more, sometimes a little less.

JL53563, do you know how much protein you're getting?

I'm trying to bulk up... I think I'm getting between 170 - 200 grams protein each day... I'm not sure if that's enough.

I eat at least half a pound at each meal, and sometimes I eat a pound or even a little more.

It depends. If it's chicken wings.... I think I could probably eat 2 lbs of those, but with be bones being left over, it's probably more like 1 lb.

About one and a half thick steaks...however much that is!!

I've recently discovered that I need my meat to be cooked at least medium-well or I get tummy trouble.

I've eaten 4lbs of beef and pork in one sitting, but that's not my norm.

Usually around 2lbs if it's ground/hamburger and 3lbs if it's rare fatty meat, I eat once or twice, around 3-5lbs a day.

I've never met a person who can eat meat faster or more than I do, or drink faster or more than I do.

I average about 150-175 grams of protein per day. Your amount seems like plenty. But I think one thing people don't realize is that in order to "bulk up" you not only need adequate protein, but you also need excess calories. Putting on muscle is much the same as putting on fat. In order for your body to grow(put on muscle), it needs excess calories.

Usually about 6 oz raw weight, but my portions tend to be based on the packaging of whatever I bought and I'll just bump up the fat content with butter or something if it's a lean meat. Fish, for example: I'll eat half of the 400-g package. This week, I loaded it up with guacamole.

Chicken wings, I'll have half a pound, and take the rest home. It's usually accompanied by the veggies and a LC beer, so...

I can't eat nearly that much. I average maybe 3 oz per meal and sometimes I can't eat that much. I get on average 50-80 grams of protein per day, some days I have to force myself to get that much.

since my food is primarily protein, i figure, maybe 1 lb a day.
eating primarily protein, satiates my appetite and therefore, i am happy with 1-2 meals a day.

The usual advise for people trying to put on muscle through lifting is to match one gram of protein a day for every pound you weigh--so if you weigh around 200 lbs, then around 200 grams of protein is recommended. Some people do more, and some say less protein (75 percent grams to pounds) is all right.

However, from what I understand, any more than 65 grams of protein per meal is useless, so you shouldn't eat more than that. I could be wrong on this last point--it's something I heard from a trainer at a gym that I haven't done any independent research on. But the grams to pounds ratio I gave you is pretty standard.
