Talking I'm starting Atkins on Monday. Can't wait!

Hello Everyone!

I'm a new member to this site, and totally excited at starting this new life style. LOL!

I moved to the U.S. a year ago. I quit smoking and was immediately plagued with a very bad back, and when I healed that, I broke a rib.

Suffice to say that I gained 30! pounds. I tried all kinds of diets over this past year that did not work. I ate very little (but what I ate was total sugar and carbs!!), plus I didn't move much, so I just kept gaining weight, much to my consternation!

I feel like all my questions have been answered after reading Dr. Atkin's New Diet Revolution!! I'm thrilled to have a way out of this big body that has just continued to mushroom until I couldn't recognize myself any more.

I am a dancer, so you can imagine my dismay at being 30 pounds overweight. But I did not smoke, and that is my greatest accomplishment. Losing my weight, will be a huge self confidence booster for me.

Monday is the day my husband and I will begin Iinduction, and I have a question.

What is the best fiber to take while in the Induction Phase. The book talks about pshyllium and flax meal. I know flax is very good. What could I put the flax meal in besides water to drink it down?

Any suggestions and opinions would be appreciate.

I've already signed up at FidDay, so I'm almost ready for take off!

I look forward to coming back here often.

Regards,

Maddy

Hi and welcome to you Maddy. This is a great WOE and it is thrilling to finally be able to eat whenever you are hungry without the guilt.

I have found psyllum fiber capsules to be my fiber solution and have never had that problem.

Between all the water and the 2-3 cups of mandatory veggies I have always been quite regular.

Anyway I look forward to reading all your successes here.
