Thumbs up Oh Beautiful Ireland!

Ireland is a breath taking experience.

I highly recommend it to anyone thinking of somewhere to go.
Although we're suffering, terribly because the value of our dollar is so worthless, presently in Ireland, I wouldn't hesitate to go again.

I was in awe of the beautiful countryside, the narrow roads that run steeply into forests with hundreds of acres of Christmas trees!!! And the way the clouds hugged the mountain tops. I have so many beautiful pictures.

And Dingle Peninsula.. you Irish are not only graced with charm and the gift of song, but also panoramic views of why God gave us sight!

My partner did all the driving. I did a lot of gasping. The road to doolin.. my God... how do you people do that????
or that road up through Slei Head? Geeze all mighty, I never saw a river go through a road like that. Such natural beauty.
I couldn't get over the dramatic colors or your countryside and how they harmonize with the blue skies and the purple and pink clouds.. And all of your old, old cemeteries with those beautiful headstones.. with moss all over them.. how beautiful. I must have 50 pictures of cemetery stones alone!
I can't get over your brazen use of color on your houses.. and all those flowers. such luscious gardens, my partner C was terribly envious.
I am so fortunate to have been able to drive through a small portion of your beautiful country.
Thank you.

I am so glad my camera didn't poop out on me this trip!!

I bow to you all who have the ability to be born and raised in Ireland!!!

Gosh I better hope on over there since I'm in England for 3 more years.

Sounds lovely!

I'm convinced we'll be going for Spring Break.

Don't forget to visit in a more Northerly direction, too - different, but even more beautiful (biased!). Counties like Donegal, Sligo and Mayo are gorgeous (wild and rugged) and lots more in the official North as well (Derry, Antrim etc).
I guess we don't appreciate where we live as much as we should, although in all honesty, I've NEVER wanted to live anywhere else.

you don't want to forget about Cavan either, the land is a bit ugly, but the lakes are beautiful!! We've one for every day in the year ;-)

Ooops! Didn't mean to leave Cavan out. And then there's Monaghan and Leitrim, too. Many tourists to Ireland never see much beyond Kerry, Galway or Dublin - it's like the top half of us got chopped off the map.
Come to think of it, it's not just the tourists who forget about us ........

I wanted to go north, but time was the problem.

I wanted to see Northern Ireland, and Mayo, and Sligo..
But unfortunately, that's like someone coming to the states and thinking they can see it in 2 weeks.. Not happening!

But for now, I have extroadinary memories of your beautiful country, and will savor them until the next time I visit.

AFWife, we also are planning an Ireland trip for Spring break... Wish we had more than a week! Hopefully we can make the best of it. I am looking forward to seeing some wonderful sites. This trip has been in the making for 10 years now
