Default New Years Exercise Challenge?

I want to give people a heads up so they can get really excited about this and plan for November 1st. I want to get another exercise challenge going. As of November 1st, there will be 62 days left in 2004.

This is a thread for those who wish to commit to finishing out 2004 with a bang. The walktober challenge got me going again with exercise and it has now become a habit. I want that habit to continue to keep me on the right track when I enter 2005. I will be making my goal in 2005 and want the year to start off right, too!

If you would like to join me and commit to exercise out 2004 and exercise in a healthy 2005, please post your goal here and daily on your progress and accomplishment!

I am committing to exercise every day for the rest of 2004 . I intend to make this a lifestyle change and give myself a healthy future.

Exclamation My exercise goals

Hi all...

I'll step up to this challenge! I need the extra motivation sometimes.

I will commit to exercising at least 5 times each week. That's three times with the trainer and at least 2 days of cardio.

Next???

TTFN!!

Ooh, my first challenge, but I'm up for it! I am committing to exercising 5 days a week. I plan to spend at least two days playing tennis (a sport I have always loved and stopped when I got heavy) and to rollerblading for three days. Here's to more exercise and by New Year's being able to walk up stairs without getting winded!

Anybody else interested in challenging themself? It isn't meant as a competition other than with yourself. This is meant as a motivational tool and nothing else. No judgements here, only support. Think about it. The more the merrier!

I would like to do this... Do you have to weigh in every week or something... I'm only going to weigh in once a month, my first being November 30th.
Do you have to check-in to this thread everyday/week?
Never done this before, I don't know how it works...

I'm in for the rest of 2004. I will walk for 1hr 5 x's a week. I was trying to motivated myself to start on the treadmill again. During the summer I was mowing the grass 3 x's a week but now that's about over.
Thanks for the motivation.

I want in, my main goal for the balance of 2004 is to at least do some kind of exercise 4-5 times a week. Which will beat my current 3 times a week.

I'll post my workout log weekly.

Hi Sneaky2006,

You don't have to post your weight, but you're welcome to if you want to. This is more of an exercise thing. You can do it however you feel comfortable. If you want to post once a week and list the exercise you did (or didn't do) that week you can or you can post everyday that you exercise to say what form of activity you did. This is just a way to keep each of those participating accountable and motivated to ACTUAL do something in the way of exercise. It helps me to avoid the excuses if I have to report to others about what I'm doing.

I'm in...
I did walktober and it kept me motivated to exercise often. I tend to stop exercising when the weather gets cold and hopefully checking in each day/week will continue to motivate me get up and exercise.

I will commit to exercising at least 6 days per week.

Great idea Lynnp,

I haven't joined any challenges since I started low-carbing but I feel I need one now. It has been a few weeks since I went into the gym and I know I need it now more than ever.

So I am starting this challenge today with you guys. I commit to going to the fitness center 5 times a week. I will be doing cardio all 5 days and weight lifting Mon-Tues and Thurs-Fri .

I already got todays workout in, 30 min eliptical trainer level 7, and my chest/shoulder/back routine.

That feels better already

Good luck to everyone and lets finish 2004 with a bang!
