Default Cooking Keto with Kristie

Forgive me if this has already been discussed here, but I recently discovered a great resource on Youtube, Cooking Keto with Kristie .

She not only does cooking videos, but she has several weekly meal planning videos and tips for staying on plan. And her success story, which she calls her "failure story", is very inspiring.

I don't think Kristi has been mentioned before here. Thanks for that link. I know her IRL and as you heard in her Failure story, like so many of us, she was inspired by Gary Taubes Why we get Fat and Dr Westman's diet in the back of that book.

Thanks for the suggestion! I just discovered her as well a couple weeks ago. She popped up as a recommended video for low carbs ice cream. Her videos tend to be a bit lengthy, but very good. It is wonderful to see her teaching her daughter how to cook and enjoy healthy fats.

Recommended!

Thank you for sharing! One of my goals for next year is to become a better cook. I subbed to her channel. I also enjoyed her "Failure Story."

Thanks for sharing the links...just finished watching her "failure story"! OMG, she really is remarkable!

It was so interesting to hear about her WLS and how 10 years ago she was all gung-ho about it and would have recommended it to others. But as the years passed the less enthusiastic she became about it!

Thank you so much! I'm going to share this with others!

Thank you for posting that link. I've been watching her videos for hours and seriously considering returning to a low carb lifestyle.

I remembered we had a thread here about Kristi Sullivan. She still regularly posts cooking videos on her YouTube channel, and yesterday published a print cookbook, #1 new release on Amazon cookbooks. Congrats Kristi.

I love that video. I used to listen to it on my phone to help me fall asleep at night, lol.

Happy to see she has a cookbook out!

DietDoctor must have been impressed, they have now started working with her and Kristi has written an article about LC food freedom for the website. https://www.dietdoctor.com/pumpkin-...an-mean-freedom. Links to her YouTube cooking channel, her FB group, and the recipe link in the comment section.

Since writing for DietDoctor, and as of this morning, Kristi's FB group has over 63K members, supportive of "Clean Eating". https://www.facebook.com/groups/160...hc_location=ufi If you are looking for "Clean Eating" rules and recipes to add to your LC journey, a few no-nos from a recent post...torani syrups, all bars, diet sodas, Walden Farms anything, boxed sugar-free anything, Halo Top...the list goes on. Not everyone has to or wants to "eat clean", many members on this forum are successful including all those things, but if you do want clean recipes that avoid these potential barriers to weight loss...Kristi is a good resource for them.

Funny new post today on DD about LC fixing her husband's Snoring I can attest to this benefit also...both my husband's and mine. https://www.dietdoctor.com/sound-of-silence

Jey. Thank you for your link! I love Kristie. I can identify with a snoring husband! As I read her story to my husband, I had to stop many times as I was laughing too hard.

DietDoctor posted a new 20 minute interview with Kristie, her history of obesity, WLS, reading Why We Get Fat and now being a LCHF advocate. Her FB page has grown to over 110,000 followers.

New long format, cooking video and recipe now on DietDoctor. First in a series filmed at Kristie's home over a few days last month.
First recipe is a flatbread that can be used for sandwiches made with coconut flour, so OK for nut allergies or if not want to use flaxseed. https://www.dietdoctor.com/cooking-keto-kristie
