Got through my first holiday since my lifestyle change. Last night we celebrated a late Canadian Thanksgiving with a party of 14 at our house. I made my own cranberry sauce, low carb gravy, pumpkin pie and cocktails and hot toddies. I had both a cocktail and a hot toddy but avoided the baking powder biscuits, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes and stuffing! Up a lb but I suspect that is merely because we started eating at 8:30 pm and didn't serve up the pie until 10 pm (meals are looooong affairs here). I'm happy, the day was a success for me all things considered.

I gained 3 pounds overnight & I did not go off plan yesterday!

Charms no worries. You did not GAIN three lbs, you are temporarily retaining three lbs of food, water and "you know what" in your intestines. Did you have anything high in sodium yesterday? Did you work out more than usual? Did you get less water than you needed? These things are notorious for causing next day gains all do to water retention in your cells, muscles and tissues.

Thanks Nikki for responding
Sodium, bacon but I eat that for breakfast everyday & I cook my eggs in the drippings.
Didn't workout yesterday.
I actually drank more water.
I am pretty sure it is a constipation issue adjusting to this WOE...any thoughts on fixing that? Dr Atkins book suggests Psyllium husks.
