I hear that a lot of people on a low carb say that it is important to get enough salt, as we lose so much water? But - dont we retain water by eating sodium?
Because I read so many places (in general but also at this website especially), that people experience that the sodium stalls their weight loss, and they experience water weight gain?
I don't think sodium stalls weight loss if you consider the kind of weight you want to loose to be fat. Water just goes up and down - I tend to ignore it by weighing myself less often now
Extra sodium in one of the recommendations to try if you are feeling crummy when first starting out on induction or perhaps fasting too.
Thats the thing - I am actually not doing low carb in order to lose weight, but because I in general feel much more comfortable not eating starchy and sugary - it tends to make me retain water and make me so bloated.
So I am in general just curios how to keep the water weight/bloating down.

I don't have a suggestion for this one. I suppose experimentation and documentation would be one way to proceed. If you're eating single ingredient foods (I assume you are) then tracking sodium up and down for a few weeks might give you some insight. I hear of others that feel "bloated" by eating wheat or too much fiber. Good luck, have fun!
