Post Back after 9 years

Hello! I was a low-carber and regular member of this forum back in 2003 and intermittently a little later. My last journal post before today was at the beginning of 2009. I gave up on low-carbing for a long time.

I'm back now as a sort of experiment: will Atkins induction give me the energy boost I remember from years ago? I need all my energy reserves right now and I'm hoping this will be the key. Wish me luck!

Rosa

HI Rosa!

Glad to see you have returned!

I took a six month reprieve...tried something else... no success..

So, I'm back. Today is Day 1 (all over again!) I know we will both do what we have to do!!!

Best,
Jams

It stands to reason that getting refined carbs out of your system is going to leave you with a happier, healthier body that functions better than before. It took me a long time to figure that out, but it's not just the weight loss that makes you feel better; it's also getting the junk out and getting the nutrients in. Add in plenty of hydration and sleep, and I think you'll be thrilled with how you're feeling in a few weeks. Just give your body time to adapt.

Smile Thank you!

Thanks for the warm welcome, everyone! Years of using Facebook and Twitter since I've last been on this board make me want to "like" all of your responses. Isn't it strange how our interaction habits and expectations have changed?

I've lost 6 pounds in the first three days (obviously water weight) and I'm feeling OK this morning.

Thank you!
