Hey all, just popping in to say hi.
Charms, thanks for asking. Things are going okay and Dad is happy. We're actually staying in the Visiting Officer's Quarters at Seymour Johnson AFB (Dad is retired military so qualifies to stay there on a space available basis - a perk that I only recently learned about). Costs about half of what a regular motel room would run. AND they put us up in a very nice two-bedroom apartment with a full kitchen and living area and everything! So, I've been able to cook decent meals for us after all. Not having to try and live on fast-food! Yippee!!!!
I woke up the morning we left Texas with a horrid cold. Sniffling, sneezing, stuffy head, headachey, feeling feverish...the whole nine yards! And with this trip on the books, there was no way I could "drink plenty of liquids and stay in bed" like one ought to when a cold virus hits! But, amazingly, tho I felt awful the first couple of days we were here, by last night I was starting to feel like I might live and I woke up this morning actually feeling good! A few sniffles still, but the rest of the cold symptoms are completely gone! It always used to take me at least 8 to 10 days, sometimes longer, to kick a cold. I'm thinking my quick recovery is yet another side-benefit of this amazing WOE!
Dad's getting antsy to get on over to pick up my stepmother for the day so no time to write more. But, I am keeping up with you guys and cheering everybody on! I'm seeing a bunch of good work happening!
Toddy dear, If you've been running around shopping and doing stuff getting ready for Christmas, that little bump back up to 200 today could just be muscle inflammation. Don't let it get you down. Your REAL WEIGHT is STILL in ONEDERLAND!!! You got this!
