Omlettes
What is everyones favorite omlette recipe?? I like to make a baked omlette with bacon and cheese but definitely wouldn't mind some different "insides".
I usually seperate 3-4 eggs
whip the whites and fold in the yolks
spread evenly along the bottom of a WELL GREASED pie dish
add my bacon and cheese
cover with remaining white/yolk mixture
bake at 350 for 20 minutes
It kind of reminds me of the baked omlettes they have at The Original Pancake House (and if anyone knows exactly how to make them- PLEASE SHARE!!)

Hi, I don't bake my omelletes, I fry, and I am still in induction so I put 1/2 avovado, and cheddar, and maybe asparagus, right now, but I've always loved omelette with avocado and pico de gallo. Yummy, if you like Tex-mex.
My current favorite cheese is muenster. I like a fried (in butter) omelette with muenster only, folded several times. I like to cook it so that the top is set but not hard. When cooking an omelette this way, you really can't use more than about two eggs (maybe three, if you have a really large pan) or the top won't get done unless the bottom starts to burn. I never flip an omelette. I haven't tried the bake method before ... maybe I'll give that a go, thanks.
I fry my omelettes too. I like them with a smear of pate on top, or a dollop of garlicy hummus. Sometimes I make them with a plate of berries (usually frozen ones heated up), with a sprinkle of splenda. If I'm really feeling decadent , I'll drizzle cream over the berries.
Guacamole on top of an omelette is really good too!
I like mine with Bacon, cheese & onion, I fry the onion and bacon first and then add the cheese and eggs, then when the bottom is cooked pop it under the grill, this makes it really fluff up, but I do like mine really well done
