I am Researching Spaghetti Squash
What volume do you calculate ???
Let say i ate all of this do i count 471 grams which includes the skin????
Or is it just
Inside drained = 190g
Water = 165grams
Total solid including its water = 395grams
Skin = 73

Here's a non-technical answer.

Look up Spaghetti Squash on the Food list at Fitday.com

For one cup of the edible portion--the stringy insides--see the nutritional breakdown. You can indicate grams instead of cups if you wish.

As far as I know, no one eats the seeds or the skin, and the water is "built in."

Does that work for you?

I eat both the seeds and the skin. I figure that the skin is probably mostly fibre (I roast and eat the seeds separately), so I bake everything and then measure out my total cooked portion. I go by volume, like one cup equals 8 net carbs (as per the Atkins carb counter for baked spagetti squash) but you could weigh out a portion as well.

I'll have to try that! The skin actually looks pretty tasty.

And lately it's been quite expensive in northeast supermarkets. We better eat all of it.
