Well I think it is time for me to work out........I just get bored with working out alone, and it is easier to do it at the gym, when I get there. I have a lifetime membership in the town I used to live in, but that drive would be outrageous.
So here I am........I joined the gym at the indoor water park 25 miles away for 3 months, if my car makes it. I figure if I can go there at least once or twice a week it would be worth it.
Until then I will be working out in my basement..... Gina

Yesterday I took my son to an indoor water park 20 miles away, they had a special for 10.00 for 3 months for kids, and they just have to pay a dollar extra each time to swim.

they have waterslides there too, so it was fun...

I originally went there to take my son and his friend swimming until I saw the great gym and found out that the boys could swim while I worked out, so I joined the gym there for 3 months, and I can get into the water park for free too.

Well, my car is without heat right now, so I dont know how often I will be going there. So I am going to have to work out on my total gym all alone in my boring basement with no cute guys to look at...lol...

It's good you're working out.
Now, if only I could get started again.

The only time I have really worked out in the last month is when I go to the fitness center/water park with my son, and sometimes that has been only once a week. Like I said I have a total gym in my basement, I just have to use it.
I am going to try real hard to go down and use it, it is just boring down there, I like the fitness center alot better.

thx for stopping by, Gina

p.s sometimes even doing some floor stretches helps Jared.

Hi Gina -

Good for you with the workout motivation. I really need to get in that direction too. I have a treadmill, but usually by the time I have time to get on it it's after midnight. You've given me motivation though - I think starting Monday I'm going to make a definite scheduled time in the a.m. to get on it for at least 20 minutes to start. There was a time I used to walk over an hour on it - it was probably around the same time you had Christy Brinkley's body..

How's the eating going? I had a tough week moneywise and I basically lived on eggs and tuna fish. Worked out extremely well though - down three more pounds after the scale not budging for what seemed like eternity.

Nancy

Thanks Gina.
Now that you started this log I'm seriously thinking about starting today with walking or something like that.
Take care

4 years ago I used to work for Total Gym and the infomercials. My brother and I were the top sales people there.
We were so good at selling the gyms on the phone we were making about 35.00 an hour.

Well, I really think I was better than my brother. I have a young voice, and I would talk to the men and they would think I was in my 20's ha!

Well the reason I am telling you all of this is; my sales were so high that I won 9 total gyms"I was excited as I thought I could make some money selling them"...., they would only give me one though after they backed down and made excuses on how they could not give me my bonuses...

so I ended up getting only one, and I have it sitting in my basement gathering dust. I am going to start tomorrow working out on it again. It works, yes, if you do it.
I used to tell people I had a body like Christie Brinkley, lol
Well it wasnt really a lie, because I did not tell them when I had that body!!

Well, maybe this log will help me just like the food journal is!!!!!!

Thanks everyone, this is such therapy for me, I appreciate all of your support!! Gina

Hi Gina,

I found your gym log.....lol. Wow!!........9 exercise machines!! I would have bought one off of you at this point as I have nothing to exercise on. I just received my Windsor Pilates tape but I've yet to put to it in the VCR......lol. Anyway, I have a question for you being that you said you worked for those informercial thingies. I was just watching an informercial for an exercise thing called the Easy Shaper. Have you heard of this and if so, does it really work like the informercial makes it sound out to work?? It looks pretty easy to do and it is suppose to work out all your body parts. I was also thinking of buying myself and ellipitacal machine. Would you recommend this as opposed to a treadmill?? I have to start doing something as I am not getting any exercise in at all except for my walking the store on Thursday nights to hang the new price tags where I work. I could start walking my dog that we just got a month ago. That would help a little.....lol. As of now, we basically just put him in the yard to run around and do his thingie. I do walk him occassionally but lately it's been so cold out. Once the weather starts getting warmer I intend on walking along the boardwalk being I am on a few blocks from the beach. Hopefully by the end of the month.

Well.....congrats on starting your gym log. Maybe I'll start one as soon as I have something to write in one.......lol.

Patty

I just wanted to say thanks for the advice on the DH that you gav e me, I think of your words every timee I go to open my mouth, and it has made me more aware of what I'm saying.

Hope you're having a good week - it is sunny where you are? It's been depressingly cold and miserable here, this time of year really affects my mood, so much so that I have started out taking a high doseage of Vit D, and it seems to be helping a little.

Anyway, hope you have a good week
xx
