Smile Once a newbie, always a newbie

I was delighted to stumble on this site as I've been going it alone for a couple of months...and things seemed to have slowed down a bit on the scales. Hope to meet many of you in my visits over the next days, weeks, months....

Bye for now!!!

Congrats on your success so far! It's normal to go through slow-downs. Feel free to start a journal or post a sample of your menu, and we can give more specific feedback.

Keep up the good work!

Default Not sure what I'm doing

. . . .but here goes.

I read an interesting article last night about set points and weight. I was at a set point for years in which I finally broke and now I am at another one. What this means is not matter how much I exercise and eat right, my weight just stays the same.

I have been eating low carb for a while now and for the last several weeks I have not moved an inch to sticking to my plan. I exercise a lot - 1 to 2 hours a day. I usually only miss a day when my body give me a signal that it needs to recup.

Anyway - my new plan is to stick with the diet/exercise until I can break the next set point. I'm tracking it - it has been 5 weeks since the scales have not moved AGAIN.

I don't know if I am using this site correctly, but it looks like what I have been looking for for some time.

I feel great & hope you do too!
