Like an omelet with some lean ham and some cheese and sliced mushrooms and tomatoes with a beautiful avocado and sour cream garnish and a cup of coffee or something, and then below them list the nutritional information. And then continue it as a slide show or a You-tube video with like a week's worth of meals and snacks, and then at the end show the grand totals. People would be astonished, not only by the amount of things like veggies that are consumed on a LC diet, but also by the higher positive nutritional totals and such. I'll bet the LC foods would have not only higher vitamin and nutrient totals, but also lower fat, higher protein and fiber, and obviously the sugar totals would be incomparable.

I once ran side-by-side comparisons of Weight Watchers with Atkins for a nutritionist and she was absolutely shocked by the comparison. Both menus were exceedingly similar (I used Atkins maintenance to compare, since most folks will spend their time in maintenance). She was basically shocked into silence.

The only difference is that in Atkins you're making better food choices!

Beardrick, I bet you are right on that... I am going to check out some nutritional websites and see what they've got... but I'm not terribly organized, so I'm thinking I'm only going to do it if I can find stuff with the info already there... the toddler is not having a patient day!

I shudder to think what that hunk of pink glob is in the second pic.

I also shudder to think about how I used to love airline and hospital food.

The person who ate that meal described the pink blob as a purple pie of some kind and mentioned that it was the only edible part of the meal... how bad must the other crap have been?

Update: co-worker came up again and complimented me on how much better I look, said she can tell I have lost even more weight recently.

Talk about conflicting signals.
