Unhappy 2nd time around. headache, dizzy, oh boy.

Hello everyone. I'm Annie. This is my second time around twith Lc this year. First time it took 4 weeks of induction for me to lose an ounce, but I ended up droppin 34 pounds and 6 inhes in about 10 weeks.

Havin a hell of a time gettin back on. Havin headaches like crazy again, and a few dizzy spells here and there. Last time they subsided within a week or two, so Im hoping they will this time, too.

Anyhow - I need to shed these last 20 pounds, and I dont know if I can do It. Feelin like cryin my cravings are so bad. Any suggestions?

Hi Annie,

Welcome back!

Have you tried L-Glutamine for the cravings? 500mg ½ hour before each meal really made the difference for me.

As for the dizziness, are you taking any supplements? Lack of potassium can cause dizziness and a weak feeling. Dehydration can also make you feel dizzy and horrible. Are you drinking plenty of water? You need at least 2 litres/64 oz.

To supplement potassium, you can either take tablets or use a potassium salt such as No Salt - available in supermarkets with the ordinary salt. You should be taking about 400mg potassium daily.

It is important to drink plenty of water while taking extra potassium. And if you choose to take the tablets, always have them with food, or they can irritate the stomach.

It's also important for anyone who takes fluid tablets or blood pressure tablets to check with their pharmacist or doctor before taking potassium supplements.

You may still feel headachy and unwell for a few days - just stick it out and you'll feel better before too long.

Cheers.

Rosebud
