Question Your body's signs that it's breaking through a stall -or just burning fat?

I've noticed some things when my body seems to be metabolizing well - wondering if anyone else has the same (somewhat sensitive) thing that they notice?

First, I'm an *extremely resistant*-to-weight-loss individual, regardless of intake and outgo. I've been trying to tweak my diet and activity regimen to kickstart weight loss and am just finally, after many years of going by the book, to see a little progress.

When I'm not losing weight, typically I don't notice any extra digestive activity, no unusual urine scents (told you this was going to be a sensitive topic ), and - as I'm hypothyroid - my body tends to the cool side. Placid, in other words.

During the day or so before which my scale shows a drop, I've seen one of a couple things happen. Either I'll get a big boost of stable energy and my body will just feel like it's humming like a good machine (limbs not as cold, not tired, etc.) - or, I'll have a rough day, feel a little bloated but warmer - almost like little hot/cold variations, and feel kind of icky and antsy, metabolically. Those days, my urine will have a stronger scent as if it's pouring out the products of stress hormones or something. And the impression I get is that my body's churning through something eliminating toxins.

It's a little odd. (By the way, I eat enough healthy carbs to generally stay out of ketosis... have tried very low carbing but due to some recommendations for hypothyroid folks, and my preference, these days I'm not aiming for ketosis.. have been there, done that and still not lost weight in the past... but I should mention that my weight loss sensitivities are not mainstream at all.. still trying to get the right combo that lets ME lose pounds.)

My cheeks feel flushed and my fat feels squishier (if that's a word) I also notice that I go pee a lot more often than it seems I should or the output is more, based on what I've been drinking.

Uh-huh.....I agree with the extra "peeing". I have a tendency to retain fluids, so if I notice that I'm stopping everywhere I go to use the restroom....and waking up at least twice in the middle of the night....it's usually a prelude to dropping a pound or two....maybe more.

I don't think I notice anything else......
