Default Back in the saddle again. Starting 10/27/09

Well, thanks to wise medical team I am starting Protein Power tomorrow. I have the original program (the one on TV with video tape and audio cassettes from 1999 or so...) and all the books.
Looking forward to the journey.

I think it's great that you've found medical support for this. Now just don't make it harder on yourself by going overboard today, the day before you begin.

Thank you for the well wishes. I have re-read the 1st two books and listened to the tape series and watched the video (from the 1999 seen-on-TV set of PP). I get it. Get enough protein; stay under 40 next carbs; eat healthy fats.
Day one a success.
I figure to chart it in my journal and update weekly or so in here.
I would like to lose say 30 pounds by year end. Possible.
Being handicapped, I do what exercise I can...and aim to increase my exercise weekly.
My weight scale being a bit "off"? Hmmm. I guess it must have something to do with old math. You know, abbacus, sliderule, factorals...all the fun stuff that does advanced math. All I want is for it to go down...in a reasonable length of time.

I took the liberty of reading a couple of hundred pages of info/shared wisdom over the past week in here. Found some good stuff.

So...day one complete nicely. Smile still firmly in place.
I wish you well.

Week one down: 8.2 pounds.
I am working earnestly into getting my poor version and Eades good version into the same hemisphere. :-)
Onward and downward.

Tonight I finally popped over here to the PP area to see if anything was new and I saw your update MisterE. Fantastic! Keep at it! You're inspiring me to do a little rereading of my own now. I definitely think it helps to get the right frame of mind. BTW, have you read PPLP? Feel free to stop by my J if you reply and don't hear from me for awhile. I rarely get "out" of there and into the other sections of the site. But I'm so glad I did. I wish you well with this approach! I know it made a HUGE difference in my life!!
