Gas comes from incomplete digestion of something. Certain carbs can't be digested by any human, so everybody farts. Average : 20 farts a day. When I am low carbing my number goes down considerably. Apparently I digest proteine and fat much better than carbs.

Just more proof that that carbs are bad.

I have never bought stevia, but I have had soda sweetened with stevia. Does it take getting used to, or is it similar to splenda, equal, etc? The drink was a little "different", but it was tolerable. I have been considering buying some.

I love stevia. I prefer NuNaturals brand liquid, though. Some have a sort of licorice taste and some can be bitter. Whatever you do, start off with just a couple drops and taste...add more until you find how much it takes to sweeten to your preference. A lot of people dump it in like it's sugar and then complain how bitter it is. It's not - unless you overdo it.

My bf says the same thing! We buy bodyforce from walmart. It's like $20 and the strawberry is delish with water. I just mix it in one of those little mixer cups with really cold water and i love it!

I just found a couple web sites on this today as a friend of mine is cramping really bad. A lot of protein apparently will cause smelly and excessive gas in some people. Milk definitely won't help!

Not that I want to beat a dead, or farting horse...

But yesterday, I used egg whites instead of whole eggs (because I only had 3 left and didn't want to deprive the rest of my family) and lordy, did it ever cause the worst kind of rumbling tummy.

I wasn't excessively gassy, per se - however today, the gas most certainly was foul. And hot.

Whey protein is concentrated dairy, so if you are lactose-intolerant, you get a double-whammy. Soy and Egg proteins are also highly allergenic. Try vegan type proteins like rice, hemp, or pea protein. Pea protein sounds like it would taste bad, but it has no flavor actually. And, they are much better for you.
