So - who wants to have a Chicagoland low carb lunch or dinner one of these beautiful summer days?

It would be fun to meet somewhere for something casual and relaxed...

hi, I live in Carol Stream. I have been here for a couple of months and never looked at this thread. There are a bunch of us. Yeah. This is such a great way of eating. I saw a question regarding Low Carb Stores. There aren't any here. There was one in Geneva, Arlington Hts, and Vernon Hills. They all closed down. If I hear about one opening I will sure let everyone know. We can all meet up there. I don't think there is a big enough market anymore. I was on this 5 years ago and it was very happening then. Now, not as much. Hey it's still working. Don't know why I ever quit. I don't listen to anyone's opinion on what I eat anymore. Good luck to all of us Chicagolanders!!!

Here ya go.......... these stores carry low carb items in the Chicago area

http://www.fruitfulyield.com/index....ome/cat_id/5555

Also, Woodmans has an entire section just on low carb too and they are the least expensive I have seen for Dreamfields Pasta. They also carry Carb Countdown (Milk)

Hi all,
I have a Fruitful Yield by my house. I was there a long time ago and wasn't impressed but maybe I'll take another look. The people that work there are not into LC if you want to ask them any questions. I do miss our low carb stores out here. I think they are gone for good. It just isn't as popular as it was a few years ago. I guess it's okay because so many people have some great recipes. I am a bad cook but I have tried some of the easy ones. I also have my staples, so far so good.

Lakeview in the city! Hey guys!
I just wanted to share a very serious problem I seem to be having as a result of my low-carb lifestyle...my clothes are getting too big! Today I put on a spring top for the first time and I feel like I'm swimming in it. Yeah!
