Just a note to readers who haven't started their own journal yet .. You do have 55 minutes after starting your journal (or any new thread for that matter) during which you can edit the title yourself.

Hi Doreen, being computer dead I forgot to ask the right questions. Can I also change my user name to DebinOregon? Our poor little Fiona has to be put down, and I don't want to use her name anymore.

hi Deb,

We can only change a member's username in the following circumstances:

• - new member
  
  - if there's only a few posts made, generally less than 10
  
  - haven't started a journal with the previous name
  
  - or to correct a spelling mistake

We may also consider a change for privacy reasons, such as a member who signed up with their real name, but even in that situation we will apply the above conditions as much as possible.
