Default Its working, tweaking my CKD

Well, I am down 1.1 pounds on my Friday weigh in! I cut my carb up to 24 hours last weekend and that seems about right for my body.

I am stoked this morning!!!

BTW, Its Friday and Trainer Dan had made a comment that got me thinking.
"Do you feel depleted on Friday?"

I am not sure how you feel when you are depleted.
Can the regulars here describe how you feel on Friday?

I woke up this morning and felt whipped. I wanted to go back to bed.
My body feels weak and tired. I assume that I am depleted for sure.
Let me know.

Thanks
Jag

To me, depleted....by the time I was through a few sets and doing my lat pulls, I was done. OF course I kept going until I hit all my major muscle groups on my upper body, then went and ran for a measily 5 minutes because I was dead.

Feeling GREAT now though (carbbing up).

Go Jag..Go Jag......good progress, but now about no more comments about my pants or lack thereof buster, you don't pick on the girls when they don't wear their clothes!

Yeah, to tell you the truth, when I really wanna' emphasize weight loss, I only carb up 1 day myself. Which is what I"ve been doing a lot lately. Just depletion workout very early fri. morning and then eating carbs like CRAZY the rest of the day. I mean really stuffing my self to make sure I get the raise in leptin.

This week I ate 2 bowls (not Jethro for a change) of frosted flakes and 1 small bowl of speghetti tue. night and worked out pretty well (some CKDers do a small carb load meal mid-week).

I did a carb up NHE type Friday night and back on LC Saturday AM. I am 1.1 pounds up from Friday's weight. I'll do another carb up meal(s) Tuesday. I'll give NHE a try and see if I can lose some more body fat.

So when a CKD refers to a 24 hour carb up, you are reducing your body's anabolic window, right? I guess as a beginning TKD dieter, could I occasionally try a 24 hour CKD to see if that works. Or do I then need to start following all the CKD rules with the depletion workouts, etc. It seems to me that a TKD only gives you a 2 hour window of growth as opposed to 24 hours or 48 hours depending on how long your carb up lasts with CKD.

Since I a focusing on fat loss - I'll stick to the shorter carb spike for now.

Even on TKD, it's not a bad idea to do a small 12 to 24 hour carb-up every now and then, say 2 weeks or so, to raise leptin. Although, if you're a larger bodyfat percentage, you usually have no problem with leptin levels. If you don't know what leptin is, just do a google search or whatever search and you'll get plenty of info. on it.

Great lifting night last night. My brother in law had been off for 10 days. So we decided to go for a full body workout to get him back in the swing of things. I hit my highest weights on the bench last night.
Warm up set 135 pounds 15 reps.
THEN
300 pounds 6 reps.
280 pounds 7 reps.
280 pounds 7 reps.

I did my squats with 210 pounds 6 and 7 reps.

I felt great last night.
I feel great today!

that's about right ... LOL ... when after your first 3 sets you say to yourself "WTF?!" ... but still push thru your whole workout ... that's when you can be sure you are depleted ... of course, I still tack on 20 mins light cardio while I sip my glutamine/BCAA drink and pop more BCAA's ...
