Default Yummy BBQ!

One of my favorite pre-low carb was BBq ribs at our neighborhood joint! Well, I was determined to find a really good BBQ sauce recipe..I tried several and came up with one that I love! So..we got a rack of smoked ribs..naked.. I checked with the owner to make sure there was no carbs in the rub.. and I made my sauce..threw them in the oven for about 15 minutes..OMG! they were awesome!
So check it out..

1 can Tomato paste
3/4 can Diet Coke
liquid smoke(to taste..I used about 3/4 tsp)
Red Devil hot sauce.. or whatever hot sauce you have on hand. to taste
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp onion powder
1 tbsp worchestshire sauce
2 tbsp sugar free ketchup.. optional
crushed red pepper for additional heat if desired

Mix all of above and heat for about 10-15 minutes on low heat, until it has thickened to desired thickness. This recipe makes about 1 cup.. I didn't put it into fitday to check the carbs.. I used about 2-3 tbsp on one serving ..about 2-3 carbs!

Have you worked out what the carb count is per 2 tablespoons?

You would have to put the carb count for the tomato paste that you use, because they vary from brand to brand..also if you use the sugar free ketchup.. put it into fitday and see what it comes out to.

As near as I can tell it would have 2.5. for two tbsp.. and that would be if it only makes one cup..mine made a little more than that..but I didn't measure it.
