AHA! There you are... I am glad you surfaced... sorry to hear about your mom, vikki

What about March... *rustle rustle in my book*... 28 for brunch or lunch?

I would like to hear from some people on this thread about it, then we will start a new thread with the date and we'll discuss the time.

Anyone interested?

Mary

Oh yeah, percy, did we miss you? Michele and I waited until 11:10 at Bloor/Yonge but you didn't make it.

We hope everything's alright...

Thanks for your concern Mary -- she's got breast cancer and has started new treatments, so "feeling horrible" comes on her overnight at times.

Anyway, March is (hopefully) good for me -- let's try somewhere we can sit outside - am I being optimistic????

I hope she feels better soon, Vikki.

I am hoping we can go to the west end, Bloor West Village, and maybe there will be a nice south-facing patio...

...with no snow on it.

hi guys - hope you had fun & found some good food to eat.
glad I got the house inspection done and went myself as well - turns out there is a massive problem with damp in the foundations (which to my bf was no big deal - typical!) a no big deal which would cost us $60,000 to fix!!!
so on with the house hunting.... I promise i will try to make the next one

Hi everyone - I had a great time on Sunday. Good to see you again, Mary.

How's it going, tilt??

Vikki, I hope your Mom's feeling better.

March 28th sounds good for our next outing.

By the way... my friend told me that there is a low carb restaurant and market opening at Yonge and Steeles. I don't have any details, but I will post when I know when they are opening. I'm psyched... I love to shop...

See ya... Michele

That lo-carb place sounds interesting, Mich! Keep your eyes peeled...

I have a friend (skinniest thing ever) keeping a lookout for us for the Bloor West area for restos.

I will start (or anyone can start) a new thread about the March 28 feeding, as soon as we get a resto location set.

Hope you're both not too busy next time, ickle and rice_!

See you soon!

Mary

I am fine thank you! Fourth day of induction, do not feel any better or worse. Eating the right stuff in the right quantities but no effect yet. Do not even know if I am in ketosis or now, my breath does not smell.

Hey, I am game to meet on March 28. Yeah, west end would be way better.

Cheers

Hi again tilt!

I am glad you're started on Induction... best of luck to you!

I have gone back to induction until I go to Cuba... It seems some pounds have found their way back onto my body... go away, pounds!

Look for the new thread next week...

Hi everyone

I am still checking out restos in the West end...

I have posted on the bloor west chat site to see if there are any lo-carbers out there...

I also looked at the menu for Green Mango, and they have a ton of great and interesting food, but almost all of it is served with rice or noodles. They have lunch specials for $8 but all are with rice. Dinners run up to $13.95 or so.

There is also another place called SHakey's that a friend suggested (no he's not a locarber) that is a pub-style place.

We can also see if there are any Firkin pubs there, too.

Just wanted to keep y'all updated...

Mary

Hi all,
I've eaten at the green mango in bloor west village without too too many problems...
but I like zsa zsa's better.
they have good salads and I usually order fajitas, sans tortillas, and munch away

Hey glass, good to see you back!

My amigo suggested zsa zsa's but said it might be expensive. Do you know?

I hope you will come to the west end!
