Jen,
Being that you've reached 90% of your goal weight, you are eligible to join us in our weekly maintenance weighin.

Its been running for as long as I've been in maintenance, so about 4.5 yrs now. It does help all of us to know that once a week, we'll tell our little group where we are.

Consider this your official invite!!

I am down 115 pounds since last July. 200+ to go. Not sure where I will end up.

I started out with the basic Atkins plan and am now transitioning to the new plan, although I doubt I will ever eat quite as many foundation veggies as the new plan calls for.

I have added a fair amount of raw broccoli and cauliflower to my daily diet though. Usually a cup and a half of each per day. I have been trying that for a couple weeks. It seems to be working well so far, so in a few weeks I may add some new veggies to the mix. I am taking it slow in case something pops up that is an issue to me, so I will know what is the issue and not eat it any more.

I am trying to stay in the 25-30 grams per day range, but often end up under 20.

Hello, my name is Gloria, I am new to this site,no I have not lost 100lbs, I have gained more than 170, in 1998 I lost 70 pounds on atkins, since then I have gained 70 pounds +100 and cannot believe what I have done to myself. In September 2002 I had a severe ankle injury, the ankle healed beautifully but I developed a condition called RSD which affects the nerves in my foot causing disability so I could no longer work. I have always worked in the medical field when this happened I was 53 years old and never thought I would be retired at age, so this was when I really put on weight. I am also diabetic, when I had lost 70 pounds I went off insulin, I know I can do this with the help of this formum and your support! I am also new to the computer world, so I guess I will learn as I go along, I figured if my grandchildren can do it I can do it! Gloria

As was previously posted, it's not always easy to find "before" pics as who wants your picture taken when you are at your top weight?

Hiya Deb! You look terrific! I don't know where you are going to take another 95 pounds off of! I wish I had looked as great as you do at your current weight.

My update: I'm at 184.6 which means a loss of approx 115. I have been BAD. I have not stuck to plan, had a weekly brownie and chocolate chip cookie. I hit the Chinese buffet and ate every breaded thing on it dipped in sweet and sour sauce! I ate an insanely sweet and huge Boston Cream Donut (I did throw 1/2 of it away cause it was literally sickeningly sweet). I ate 1/2 a bag of tortilla chips with mango/cilantro salsa. Oh yeah and I barely rode my bike maybe 10 miles a week.

This is in the past 3 weeks. I really think this binge is my bodies reaction to having been on strict induction for 2 weeks and dropping 5 pounds in that period. But I did maintain that 5 pound loss for those 3 weeks! I was very much surprised when I stepped on the scale today and I was down about a pound and I'm carrying water today, I can see it in my feet.

I'm thinking of maybe switching plans, I think I might do well on a plan that allows small amounts of whole grains, etc. As my weakness has always been salty snacks, I think as long as I keep the Cheetos and Chex Mix out of the house, I will be ok. I'm going to open a thread to get input on switching plans.

(Sorry this is a bit off topic, but it was kinda a stream of consciousness thing)
