Hello all,
I have been on the Atkins part of this board for a couple of months, but had not seen the TDC. I started doing Atkins the end of April 2003 and have lost about 50 lbs so far. YEAH!!! I still have at least another 50 to go. I have really enjoyed all of the support and helpful information found here and hope to be able to contribute some also. This LC wol is a wonderful thing. The difference it has made in my life and that of my family is wonderful. A good example for me is that tomorrow my DH and I are taking our 8 yr old to Carrowinds theme park and I am so looking forward to it because I can fit in the rides now. I have enough energy to run around all day playing games and having fun with my little boy. Life is good. Hope to be reading from you soon and typing back. Take care and thanks for being here.

You are doing well. Congratulations I wish I'd found this when I was your age. Stay in this forum for support and humour, a nicer bunch of losers you'd never meet.
Don't forget to start a journal. It will give you a record of how things are going, and we can come and visit you.

Hi Marie, Welcome to the TDC. Congratulations on your weight loss so far. Isn't it amazing how easy this is? The folks here in the TDC are great and make it so much easier to have the patience we need. Since we in the TDC have so much to lose, sometimes it feels like it's going to take forever. When I feel that way, I pop over here and read how my buddies are doing and my patience is restored. Wishing you a visit from the whoosh fairy!

Thanks everyone for saying hello. We did have fun on our trip, and having my little boy proud of his Mom for being able to ride the "Runaway Reptar" rollercoaster 4 times in one day is great motivation. Last year I probably wouldn't have been able to fit in the seat! Thanks again for the kind words and I hope to be as good a loser as you guys
