Default A bit confused about "moderate fat" intake

As I posted in the daily thread, I have been reading Laura Richard's book, and am learning about "hidden carbs" in my food. I also keep reading that PP is more of a moderate fat plan, yet the book does not give any specifics as to how much fat to eat. On a daily basis, my intake is about 70 percent fat, 23 percent protein, and 6 percent carbs, and my calories average about 2000-2400. To me, that is more of a high fat intake, and I have been told it is more of an Atkins ratio than PP. I do get my minumum of protein in - usually 100-130 gms a day. What percentage should I be at in terms of fat intake?

Robin

Robin - This is a 'your milage may vary' kind of thing. For me, my ratios of fat/protien are about 45-50% fat, 40% protein. I am sure some of the others can tell you what their ratios are too You just have to play around a bit to see what is best for you. The key is if you are losing. If you stop losing then you want to start tweaking things a bit. If you are losing, just keep doing what your doing
