Angry Off track AGAIN!

I can't believe it. I did it again...I was just going to cheat on one meal. It's now been 5 days. I just can't seem to get back on track. Someone lend me some wisdom and courage to get it together.
HELP

Hi Char,
When I get off track I know that I can start all over again. I can do it today, I don't have to wait until Monday or tomorrow, I can change right now! I am striving for progress not perfection and each day is an improvement as I learn and grow from the support of this forum.
I'm sure that you'll be able to get back on track because you've already expressed your willingness by posting your thread.
Regards,
Maureen

Question Maybe just Maybe

I so wish to get the umph to do it. I keep telling myself tomorrow. Well, again another day passes. When you go off track what do you do to muster up the energy to do it? I need some good advice. I feel the urge to move but without any motivation I'm not gaining much ground. I guess I'll have to take a deep breath and start again. Monday is a good day?
Thanks,
Char

Char,

I feel your pain! I have been a professional dieter for 15 years. Starting and quitting. Until recently my longest period of dieting without cheating was a few weeks. However I will celebrate two months strict low carbing tomorrow.

What has made the difference this time is that I have changed the way I think about food and my goal of losing weight.

Every minute of every day I think about how miserable my life has been due to my weight and my addiction to food, then I think about what has caused it--carbs.

Then I think about what life will be like once my final goal has been reached. Then rather than focus on my final goal I challenge myself to go one day without cheating. Whatever food it is that I want to cheat on I find it but don't eat it. I work in a restaurant and stare at fries all day and think about what they have done to my life. Then I focus on going a day without them. Then another day. Then another.

Before I know it the thought of eating one makes me want to puke. Be encouraged!!! Do not focus on your final goal. Make your number one goal each day to go through the day with out cheating. And you will find sucess!!! The longer you wait the harder it will be to get back on track--Let's Go!!!

Lightbulb Alrighty then

Wow, I'm ready for the go ahead. I have done good so far today. I really do need to check myself. I know how struggling on a diet is. I will just have to RE-vamp my thinking. I know that I can do it. I was just temporarily insane.
Thanks for the advice Poohbear, I'm taking it!
giggles and smiles,
Char

Razzle,
After I read the stickies, I really had to sit back in my chair and think about what I had just read. I guess I do have to reflect back and think about what was happening with me. I know that the next time something like CRAVINGS comes up I will think twice and maybe even thrice about cheating. I have OPTIONS
Thx,
Char
