I have yet to see a positive TV programme about low carb eating. I can't help wondering if the junk food lobby has too much power.

I suppose with all the profit they make, they can crack the whip because of the amount they pay for advertisements & our MPs are always willing to make an extra bob or two.

I thought they announced the best diet as the mediterranean? this was lots of meat and veggies with fruits. Isnt that essentially like atkins maintenence? I thought the programme was quite informational for the average joe.

The biggest loss diet was a fake version of a low carb diet.

The second biggest loss was the med diet. Because, he was in better health than the low carb dieter.

The programme was incorrectly informative. Anyone considering a low carb diet would have been wrongly informed. I have spoken to someone whose hubby is Italian and they say the Italians eat a hell of a lot more pasta than the programme said they eat. There was also many stereotypes used with the plans of other diets from around the world. So, it ended up being a bit of a farce, which was a shame. it could have been really good!
