Default # of carbs in minced onions?

I looked it up on fitday, and it only showed for 'dehydrated onions,' I have no idea if that's the same thing or not. If it is.. the little bit I put on my tuna & mayo has 4 CARBS! ugh... ... help please.

I'm just looking for the carb count on the minced onions found in the spice racks.

Thank you..

raw onion chopped 1/2 cup or 3oz = 7 carbs
if its cooked it would be more carbs due to carmelization.

Info is from "The Doctor's Calorie Fat and Carbohydrate Counter"

hope this helps somewhat

Since the spice rack onions are dehydrated, it's prob close. I have Tone's brand minced onions and it says "less than 1" carb for 1/4 tsp (which I interpret as being close to 1 carb). Onions have quite a bit of carbs so I've started using scallions instead--they have alot less carbs (about half I believe; ounce for ounce when you include the green tops).

It's the entire scallion--the white onion part and the green top.
Adds alot of flavor without much carbs.
