Ultimately, its your choice...

I'd go for the sunflower seeds! Yummmy! The salty roasted flavor might kill your cravings for popcorn!

To Kisal, congratulations on quitting smoking. I have been smoke free for 8 years...unfortunately I substituted milkshakes for that, and that is why I'm here...haha
As far as the popcorn goes...probably not a good idea. I have found that if I am cheat-free, and then had theater popcorn, I was REALLY SORRY for it that night. I didn't have much but the aftertaste was horrid, and it just wasn't worth it, and I was disappointed. Now I try to just sneak in a cup of coffee, it's something to hold and I just listen to the rustle of the bags of popcorn and be jealous, but THINNER.

What if you bought popcorn for the kids and just had a few kernals each time you went to the movies?

Or, it might be safer to create some new routines, such as snacking on nuts instead of popcorn, if this is going to be a regular thing. Is it twice a week all summer, or twice total?

ruthla, it is 2 times a week all summer so thats a lot of instances of being tempted.
However....
The first movie was today and I thought I'd try a kid-size popcorn and see if that little bit caused me to stall. I think the Low-carb Gods were smiling on me. I got a box of popcorn that was burnt/scorched. Two bites and I was done. As was any residual cravings for popcorn. That really turned me off to popcorn big time!
The 2 bites didn't knock me out of ketosis. And from now on I plan on taking sunflower seeds for a movie munchie.

That's a good thing that happened! I think you may have been ok with the popcorn anyway, but better safe than sorry! One time I wanted M&M's really badly, and i got them out of the work vending machine. I got the worst stomach ache ever. I had forgotten that even before LC, m&m's sometimes gave me stomach aches. So there went that craving, and i havent been tempted by them since

Definately a blessing that happened to you. Enjoy the movies!

Well, it depends on if you count total or net, and if you subtract SA. I recommend you DONT subtract SA, personally.

If you do subtract SA and do net, then you are looking at about 7 grams. Net is carb minus fiber.

I do minus fiber, but I do not minus SA because I do not trust those guys! Also, the bars have 4g of real sugar too.

Regardless of how you count it, this product is not suitable for induction.

Thanks Neverwhere. I needed to hear that. man, I just spent nearly $5 bucks on a box of 6 thinking this would be a good afternoon snack for me, laugh. Oh well, I will save it for when i reach my goal and get off induction. However, they do taste really good so it is a good product to substitute instead of the bad ice cream we normally eat, just a little pricey.

you dont need to wait until you totally hit goal...but in induction especially, it's not wise to eat things like that.

Yes, lc products are always so pricey. it's really not fair.
