Default ketosis on Protein Power?

I am getting a little confused and need some help . . . I have read so many LC books, I am mixing my info. I just leafed through PPLP again, and can't find a reference to ketosis . . . the term is not even in the index!

So, my question is, should I be in ketosis on the Intervention level of PP?

Inquiring minds want to know . . . and since my mind is VERY tired at the moment, can someone out there help?

Suz

Suz, you won't find Ketosis in PP or PPLP - it isnt something that the Eades address nor do they feel important. Many followers of PP lose their fat and enter maintenance having never encountered one ketostix

If you are in ketosis or if you are not will be a function of your carb limit - Some can handle more carbs and still show signs, some less. YMMV. If you are losing fat, feeling good and enjoying your WOL don't worry about it. Ketosis is strictly an Atkins "thang".

If I type very slowly and quietly in a nice soothing green it should help.

H o w e v e r, if I type too slooooooooowly we will never be finished.

IF YOU TYPE IN CAPITALS IT LOOKS AS IF YOU ARE SHOUTING AND IT IS VERY RUDE SO I WILL NOT DO THAT!

all lower case is certainly quicker but pronouns such as i, look a bit odd. new sentences just dont look right with out capitals.

I could always use bold to highlight the key message

or perhaps italics for a quote

Big fonts are a bit in your face

I have now bored you to sleep, when you wake up rested you can read the answer below.

Rested? excellent!

While you were away I checked in PP rather than PPLP and I quote from Dr. Eades:

" If you're very much overweight, Phase 1 will almost certainly put you into ketosis, but there's nothing wrong with that. It simply tells you that you're burning fat. If you are not much overweight, the diet will probably put you right on the cusp of ketosis, which is where you want to be "
