Only from reading the reviews, it appears that this diet uses the usual low carb, moderate protein, high fat macros any Ketogenic diet would do. It is the diet many of us have used for years to lose weight and maintain that loss easily. You can find the same information for free on the internet, https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/keto or read a book about Why We Get Fat by Gary Taubes (Dr Westman's Ketogenic diet is in appendix https://www.dietdoctor.com/se/wp-co...starch_diet.pdf ), even the Dr Atkins Induction plan is "Ketogenic" unless you go way overboard with the protein. http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=236482

Only nine months ago, this same doctor published a book about the Mediterranean diet, and 12! other previous books on different plant and Bible-based plans. He may jump on the latest trendy diet "name" to make a buck, and not know or convey the finer points of treating patients with keto vs a lower carb plant diet. The Ketogenic diet has been around since the early 1900s, and has been extensively researched, used in clinics to treat diabetes and obesity with thousands of patients. The DietDoctor link above has articles and interviews with the experienced experts on LC and Keto. It also has hundreds of success stories so you know it works all the best,

Yeah, looks like a pretty expensive entry point for a diet that just requires keeping carbohydrates low, protein to just a little bit above requirements, and fat to appetite.
