Where do you live that doesn't stock high fat yogurt?

Consider adding a liquid fat such as heavy cream, coconut oil etc. It will improve the taste, the texture and the nutritional value. I steer in 2T of walnut oil per cup of full fat greek yogurt. If I can afford the carbs I add 20 grams of blueberries and 30 grams of toasted slivered almonds. Yummy!

I forgot to add I live in podunk rural Missouri. Even the hi end chains like Hyvee, Shnucks and Dierbergs don't carry it. And the local health food store about threw me out the door when I asked about full fat yougurt.

Default Stupid HFS -say "LC & Healthy Fats" to all

Whited..yikes..ignorant fools..yes the force in strong in those anti-fat HFS stores…

But as any of you know no matter that a DECADE of research, books, videos, long Pubmed reports..hundreds in fact, on just saturated fats are SFAE it is trans fats as bad..they, and I mean MDS TOO…still do NOT KNOW THIS.

My Urologist lost my respect by lecturing me on LCHF..when I said the words low carb high fat it was an instant mistake..another site is using the term Low carb HEALTHY fats..AHHHHHH not so scary to the unwashed masses…

When you say Healthy fats..they realize you are trying to improve your health, and assume a doc is helping you,and will be less judgemental. You may know of the vicious attacks by CICO proponents over in MFP anytime the words low carb are used… "you're gonna die" etc..assuming it very high protein too. ignorance abounds..so we shut up..an error, but not easily fixed.

am stunned a urologist..who needs to keep people alive with kidney issues would NOT KNOW any of this fats research. I SHOULD have said "healthy fats.".followed by I eat olive oil and avocados.. and shut up..no butter word, etc.

But the damage was done..and if i argue ,I am 'self diagnosing" an d a combative patient. True I don't know HER stuff..but during the last decade she should know about nutrition for her patients.. the USDA &^^&&^% healthy plate pisses me off..45-65% carbs..even for diabetics. even the dietitians push it as they are trained to do!
