Default NewToClub/Introduction

Hi Everyone, I'm Abbey. I just wanted to Introduce myself to everyone. I have a current goal of 100 pounds to lose. I started the Low Carb diet a few months back, right before Thanksgiving and although I lost 18 pounds I let myself find excuse after excuse to put off starting back up once I cheated (It's Thanksgiving, then Christmas, 'I'll do it after the wedding etc.) Of course I gained back 8 of those pounds since. Anyway I thought the best way to succeed would be to find others who are in the same boat and it looks like this is a great group of understanding and encouraging people and I hope to get to know you all better.

I'm 25 years old and recently married. I saw my wedding pictures and decided enough excuses if I'm not happy with the person I see in the photos I am the only one who can change it. I am doing this for myself but part of my wanting to be healthy has to do with my wanting to have children and my husband and I agreed to start trying when I reach my goal of 170. My husband is normal size and actually a personal trainer so he is very encouraging, but has also been fit his whole life so he just doesn't understand what it is like to be big. I've been big most of my life, but I'm determined that is going to change, and it starts today . Hope I haven't been too long winded and hope this group can help me find some of the strength I need to meet my goals.

Hi Abbey, welcome!
My 2 tips I like to share are
1. come to this forum daily, read everything you can, and get involved. It really helps with motivation, knowledge, and accountability.
2. At first, weigh, measure, and log your food daily in a program like MYPLAN here on this forum, or fitday.com. It really helps you make smarter food choices and detect cause/effect when you're succeeding or "flailing".

Glad to meet you, and good luck to you!
