90 days is just arbitrary. If you feel you have established a new habit or modified/rid yourself of another feel free to start another one. No one is judging here. This is a workshop, we don't hand out grades or stars for building the best, most perfect bird house. We just come here and try stuff out and look to see what others do with their projects.

My old shop teacher didn't have some of his fingers. He accidentally cut them off. I suspect he did it because he drifted away from a good habit he once had or never had to begin with. If we can come away from practice with all our fingers on, that's good enough in my book

Sorry, I'll keep my comments to the daily comments section on my update.

I like comments!
I realize no one is judging, with the exception of myself. I have found that I need strick rules, even if self imposed, in order to establish a habit. This is why Atkins worked so well for me with very specific rules and guidelines.
So, for me, the 90 days is hard and fast, and so is starting over if I slip up!

Ooh, a new goal to add. Don't cut off any fingers.

Plan: My own - < 30 net carbs
Stats: 440/228/210 Male 5' 11"
BF:Energy Unleashed
Progress: 92%
Location: Central Virginia - USA
Default Day 1

Lets just say that I had an unplanned on plan bite to eat after logging yesterday. My limits were blown out of the water on day 9. Restarting at Day 1

Challenge Goal:
Restarts: 1

Net Carbs: 45 or under for 90 days
Calories: 2500 or less everyday as well
Daily upper body resistance training (New)

Today:

Net Carbs: 32
Calories: 2468

Weights: Bench press. military press, lat pulls and some other kind of downward pull. I pushed the muscles hard today. I'm spent. 200g of protein today ought to build me back up again.

Dex - thanks for the tip on the pull-up trick. I may have to give that a try.

My exercise, at this point, is scattered and random and...it doesn't matter! I just need to do SOMETHING every day- and I AM! Woohoo!

Today: 24 sit ups, 40 push ups (they are the sad, "knees-kind" - at this point) but, I didn't do nothing! I did something. That's my goal.

Aww, thx, Renee! Don't be too impressed, though! They are the weakling version push-ups, on knees. Sigh... oh well... eventually I'll get back to "real" ones.

Habit: exercise 5 days/week
Day 1: June 12
Day 90: Sept 10

Day 3: planned rest day
Day 4: walked 3 miles in 50 min.

What I didn't do: 50 pushups.

Jamackarch, add me to the list of folks awed at your accomplishment (even if they are modified pushups).

4 down, 86 to go.

My 90 day "no snacking between meals" habit I'm developing.

Day 1: complete
Restarts: 2

Comments:

After windsurfing yesterday I walked into target looking for some multi vitamins. Found some. Also, I didn't find any zinc oxide - the kind of white stuff you put on your nose and face for sun protection. I guess I'll try Amazon.

On exit, I notice my eyes scanning all the snack material at check out. OMG that place is snacker heaven! Next time you walk through, watch where your eyes go. Mine eventually landed on a National Enquirer with a picture of Richard Simons in repose dressed up like a woman! I want that! I love, love Richard he's so funny. Some of my favorite bits are him and Howard Stern going at it on Stern's radio show.

Richard in drag distracted me just enough to make my purchase and leave Target, sans snack. Thank you Richard, or Fiona, or whatever.

Don't discount the knee ones. They might be a little easier, but I still couldn't do 50. I do the wall ones which are lamer. But progress is progress.

Yesterday: Day nine of hunger VS appetite analysis

Day one of daily planking

An interesting day. No hunger during the day, at all, and not even in the evening. But I felt hollow around 8 PM and it didn't go away, so around 8:30 I had 1/2 an avocado, a small handful of nuts and a square of very dark chocolate, along with rooibos tea with HWC. I was fine.

And down for the first time in 2 months, now a whopping .4 since end of January. Hmmmmmm.

30 second plank, 15 second rest, 15 second plank. I'm getting muscles in my forearms. WOOT.
