Hi Shirley,
I live in Battle Ground, WA and work in Vancouver.
I really don't like to drive to Portland if I don't have to I always seem to get lost
I would love to come to any kind of support meeting. I learn so much visiting this forum and to talk to someone local would be great. I really need to learn how to cook specialty meals. I'm real good at hot dogs and baked chicken. I have trouble with boiling eggs though I'm lucky my husband fixes most our meals and he cooks/BBQ's a lot of meat (pork, beef, chicken) I just leave out the starchy stuff.
I'm currently seeing a doctor about PCOS which includes borderline diabetes. Hence my need to LC.

Cool! I actually live in Vancouver too! I've been LCing since March. I've lost 60 pounds! I still have 30 more to go. I could use the support. I have a 9 month old that keeps me very busy, but I'm pretty moblie. We get out and about. If you want we could try to get a group started. My email is saavery~attbi.com

Maybe we (Peanuty, you and I) can meet sometime. Exchange recipes and just groan a little. The Holidays are upon us and as each day passes, the busier I become.

I would like to get together too. I guess we just need to decide where and when. The holidays are a busy time and I'm going to the east coast in November to see my family. Any ideas about a good time and place?

Hi,
I was checking to see if there were already any local meetings and did find one. There is a store called LowCarb Habit and they have a meeting every month. It's the first Monday of the month. However she did say that they did not have anything scheduled for this coming "first Monday of the month" meeting and to call later in the week to see if a schedule has been made.
Anyway, if you want to give them a call their number is:

They are located right off of 4th plain and 503 (112th?). They have the best low carb ice cream!!!!

Thanks for checking. I go there all the time! I just never thought to see if they have a LC meeting. Cool! Are you going to try to go to the next one? I'll probably go over there and see what's up. I need some stuff anyway.

maybe when you are there you can ask if there is anything in portland.

how did you find out about this, i can maybe try doing a little research myself.
