well none of my freinds cooks AT ALL, so I don't have to worry about more that munching at friends houses. Then if there is not a LC choice available I just skip the snack!

As far as eating out, I still eat out ALL the time. At least 4 times a week. I have just learned to make good choices. If I can eat a LC meal at a BAR where chicken fried steak and chili cheese fries rule, (cheese burger no bun, onion rings, peel the batter off and a peice of their awesome beef jerky) anyone can eat out LC!!

Good luck! Bottom line for me is that I have learned to just not eat if there is nothing LC available. If I know I am gonna be somewhere for a while, I eat before!!

Good luck

it's really sucky for me cos all my friends are STICK thin (and they dont even diet, they're just born that way) so everytime they go out they just have whatever they want,in other words tons and tons of carb.they know about me lc-ing and they respect it,so it isnt a problem..

wherever you go,just stick to rich-in-protein dishes.there's bound to be some everywhere.say no to carbs!

like everyone said . do the exact same thing you do at home . and if it is a special event then you could splurge a little , but plan for it . restaurants are more then happy to change your order . if you don't want to potato and want more veggies ask , and they would most likely be fine with changing something.

If you let your friends know you're LCing, it's a lot easier. There are plenty of places you can go out to eat. As a college student, my friends all hang out at waffle house... a place that is VERY easy to stay low carb at. If you eat fast food, just take off the bun. If you're eating at a sit-down restaurant, look out for sweet marinades on their meat.... it can definitely pack on a lot of carbs to a low-carb meal.

Best of luck,
Whitney
