Hello everyone! Im new here. I just started following the Keto eating plan. My main focus is to improve my health. In the past I have done Atkins and South Beach both. I recently started evaluating my lifestyle and asking myself where I wanted to be in a few years from now. Did I still want to be the overweight couch potatoe that I currently am? I owe these thoughts to several tragic losses, in 2014 I lost two grandchildren within six weeks of each other (5 yr old Granddaughter & 9 mo old grandson) then in Feb of last year my Dear Mother passed away and two weeks later her only living sister passed away from a broken heart, she grieved over momma. You know when you lose someone it certainly makes you think. It makes you evaluate your own lifestyle and know that life is just to short to be anything but your best. I am an emotional eater, so these losses had an impact on me in that I turned to food once again to cope with my grief. But here I am. More determined than I have ever been. Nothing tastes as good as skinny will feel!

Hello Yogidog,
I am so sorry for your losses. I can't imagine what that would be like. Kudos to you for using this to evaluate your life and help you to move forward, it's certainly not the easiest path. This group was very helpful to me 7 years ago when I first joined.
Welcome and all the best,
C.
