Plan: General
Stats: 388/388/158 Male 5 foot 8 inches
BF:
Progress: 0%
Default 10,000 Hours

I lost about 60 pounds about 5 years ago eating low carb, but stopped and put it all back plus about 30 more.

I have started eating low carb again today, but instead of focusing on my weight, I'm going to focus on sticking with the diet.

I read it takes 10,000 hours of practice to be an expert at something. If you take those 10,000 hours and divide it by 24 hours, that equals 416.67 days. I figure if I can stay on a low carb diet for 416.67 days, I'll be good to go.

I'm going to commit that calculation to memory. Sounds like a plan. You CAN do it!

And the coolest part is that by sticking to it for that length of time, you realize that it's not only the healthiest way to eat, it's the yummiest, too.

I lose very slowly, so I've been at this a long time. Will I reach goal by the end of THIS year? Maybe, maybe not. But taking this long means that I had to decide, back about 20 lbs ago, that I HAD to enjoy the journey, or I'd go nuts.

And, really, as I plan to keep eating just like this till I am pushing up daisies, well, may as well start having fun early, right?
