Default Prepping for a colonoscopy...making it Atkins friendly

Anyone prepped for one of these while staying true to Atkins?

I guess I can just approach the last 24 hours as a fast....use G2 for the flush to minimize the carbos but give my body something to work with...even though I am loathe to take in processed sugar at this point.

I guess the positive is that, most likely, I will drop a couple of pounds as a result

I followed my Dr's instructions for the prep and had not problem with gaining.
The test is far more important than a couple of pounds in my opinion.

Yeah, had several
The stuff they have on the allowed list is mostly sweets except maybe Jello that I didn't bother with. If I felt weak, coconut oil helped. Next time ill just fast and drink sparkling mineral water. Not sure if coffee with cream is allowed, I don't remember that nor the actual procedure LOL
Nurse told me some people lose 8 pounds!

I used a sugar-free version of G2 or Gatorade in green (not red or purple ) and the Fasting is easy when on a VLC diet. Duke Hospital uses the simple and cheap OTC MiraLax, not that gross salty prescription stuff many doctors use. In addition to the SF G2, the liquid diet allows broth and diet ginger ale/sprite, etc. but no coffee.

"...I guess I can just approach the last 24 hours as a fast" - Solid Brother! That would be my recommendation if you can tolerate it.

Keep It Simple.
