I'd like to up my fat burning or zone work out to one hour a day, plus 30 of cardio and 30 of circuit training/weight lifting. I'd like to get to six days a week, presently only at five. Running bores me to death!

24 June-Tuesday

7:45 am 30 minutes of cardio by means of the Cybex elliptical, heart rate 151, 289 calories burned
30 minutes of running by means of the thread mill (zone/fat burning) heart rate 131, 290 calories
30 minutes of ab and glut circuit and weight training
15 minutes of elevated sit ups/stretching.

1 hour 45 minutes, total calories burned: 570 not including weight or stretching. 570 +

Today, 25th June 08-Wednesday

Got a very late start to the Y.

Only 30 minutes of cardio 270 calories burned and 3 miles on Lifetrack fitness elliptical.
30 minutes are triceps and back circuit training.

It was so darn hot in the Y today.

I am looking at my overall inches lost and to lose:

Waist-started 32", now 31", goal 27"
Hips-started 41", now 40", goal 36"
Bust-started 38" now 37" goal 35"

overall....loss 3" need to lose 10"

Weight is now at 157. Goal is 140...17 pounds to go. I think I started around 160-this time around!

30 minutes running at the Y
15 minutes glut ab workout

45 minutes

I am cutting my gym time in half due to work. It's upsetting me and I will compensate by spending this Saturday there, after my son's YMCA baseball game.

4 July 08-Friday

9am

Started new weight lifting regiment with six weight lifting exercises and cutting my cardio down to 20-35 minutes a day.

Today is 6 July Sunday and the front of my thighs are sore from these Goblet Swats. I hope that I am doing all of the exercises properly. In a month's time I will evaluate how this has changed my weight loss and my measurements.

Stick to 3 sets of 5 of the heaviest weight you can lift. SERIOUSLY A GALLON OF MILK IS 10LBS. Once you can do 3 set of 8 then increase weight. How are you doing your Romanian Deadlifts? The OLY bar alone is 45lbs so if you are using a barbell and adding 10lbs on each side then you are liftin 65lbs. I know Julia sent you the link to Built's blog, stick to the workouts listed and watch the videos to perfect form. You do not need all the extra sets, K? If you want to do cardio 20 minutes at 3.5 and slight incline is fine. Do this routine 3x a week and you will see results.

10 July 08
30 minutes of cardio
45 minutes of abs work

11 July 08-Friday-Today

I had to take my suv to the mechanic and I have insurance adjuster coming over to write a check for a new roof...good and bad. I didn't have any time with that and work to go to the gym. I'm going to be in a very salty mood this weekend. My weekend is too full of stuff going on to get to the gym, too.

Good news is that I have an afternoon cocktail party to go to...bad news is that I had to go get a different dress because none of my current dresses lay very nicely on me still. They fit, I can get them on, but they look slightly tight and they are slightly uncomfortable. Progress from when I couldn't get the on three weeks ago. The other problem about that is that I ended up with mediums...ughghghghghgh..... in BCMX at Macy's. Usually I wear a small. At least they are slightly roomy...still not making me happy to be in a medium juniors when I normally wear size 160s Euro or 16 little girls clothing...or small or xsmall in ladies.

Don't look a gift horse in the mouth...at least I can get my smalls on.

Today-Friday
From:
Waist-started 32", now 29", goal 27"
Hips-started 41", now 39", goal 36"
Bust-started 38" now 36" goal 35"
Total loss: 9.0" goal another 6"
Total wanting to lose since start of 25 June-13"
In 8 days I have lost 2.5".

And seriously life can be cardio. Walking to park, cleaning house, so cut yourself some slack. I am going to find this article I read about how cardio really is not necessary for fat loss. Build that muscle and you'll be burning calories 24/7!

I posted this reply in my journal; not sure you saw it.
