Default Creme Caramel Question

Hi Karen,

I know sometimes you can "cheat" with a recipe and use a sugar substitute and it works and other times the chemistry involved means the fake sugar is a bomb and you can't use fake. What I am wondering is could one use DaVinci Caramel syrup in the bottom of the custard cup, or would it be best to make the custard and add the syrup when serving it?
Thanks very much,

Steph

Hi Steph,

The syrup would mix itself in with the custard, so it would be better to pour it on top.
