Yes, the 3 year old daughter of friends of ours is on the ketogenic diet for seizures. What would you like to know about it? (I'd be glad to share whatever I can).

Lightbulb The Ketogenic Diet

I was wondering if anyone had seen positive results "with their own eyes."

And I was wondering what ages the ketogenic is good for because the article indicated that it is only effective for children.

Yes, the diet is working well with this child. It hasn't stopped the seizures completely, but she has fewer of them now. The family was also able to wean the child off of the tranquillizers she needed to take. The child is enrolled in a clinical trial at a large university hospital. I've known of another child in that trial who also did well on the diet. I don't know whether it only works for children, though. If you'd like to pm me, I can give you the name of the program.

I have second hand (my daughter) experience with the ketogenic diet. It is very similar to Atkins (less then 20g carb) and you have to stay in ketosis.
I’m our case the seizures were so light, and maintaining the diet with a kid was too hard, that we ended up using medication. But in the process we learned that the diet works. However it work on kids 1-13 yrs old. It is not prescribed to adults.

But, I have a co worker, an adult with ADD, and the Atkins diet changed his life, to the point that he rarely uses medication..
