Hi All,

Just wondering if any other Aussies caught the segment on "Today Tonight" yesterday 4/7/01 about Celebrity Diets? It focused on Low-carbing and had an appearance from Donna Aston ( A professional body builder), a great advocate for low carbing here in Australia. As I expected the diet took a hammering, and Donna really didn't get to put the Low-carb story across. Rather the story was "NO CARB". Anyway, I have been reading another of Donna's books "Fat or Fiction - are you living a fairy tale" and the message is consistent with Atkins as well as her other book "Body Business". Although she concentrates on body fat percentage as the true measure of health rather than relying on the scales.. it goes back to the old muscle is heavier than fat argument. If anyone is interested, I have found a web site that can give you an estimate of your body fat % , but you need your waist measurement in inches and weight in pounds. It says that a water displacement test is more accurate, but the difference is about 1-3%, For my intents and purposes, it is good enough for me: Anyway, for those interested, the web site is:
