Default 4 days on PP

Hello

I just started doing PP four days ago. Actually, I have not stuck to it very well at all. I have been able to stay with the program quite easily for most of the day, until the evening comes. Hubby works nights, and it's been easy to have something 'carby'. I am hoping to find a way to stop this behavior - it seems kinda dumb after following the plan all day to sabotage it at night.

On the other hand, before I started this, I was eating MANY carbs, and feeling not-so-good. I think that, biochemically, I was using the carbs to keep myself up, or else to calm myself (not sure which). I feel that it's imperative that I get completely on the program, to break the habit of using carbs as a comfort.

Even though I'm not doing it all the way, I know I've greatly decreased the number of carbs I'm eating per day, and I've eaten more vegetables of the right kind. I see that as progress - I'm not where I was a week ago!

Tonight after dinner, I had a little piece of cheesecake after supper. I have had a headache ever since. I've noticed each time I eat something high in carbs, I feel physically bad afterwards. I think that will be the thing that makes me wake up and take this seriously.

I'd love to hear from others here who are willing to share their 'starting the program' experiences. Thanks!
