I tried this for a while, but didnt get on too well with it. As a bodybuilder i have found it better to get a decent amount of carbs in around each workout and in the morning. When i dropped my carbs during the week my workouts and how i felt started to suffer towards the end of the week. When carb up came around i just felt bloated and horrible still. I think its better to remain more consistent with a steady flow of carbs around your workouts.

I have done keto plans in the past, but from my experiance i now stick to a more CKD type plan. My performance and general well being is much better when eating more carbs. Personally i dont think theres any need to cut out carbs completely when training hard.

coming off my first refuel weekend....check this out:

I just finished my lift, I am sweating profusely, I mean the intensity
I was able to generate was awesome.

First, I was able to add THIRTY POUNDS of weight to my bench press and
still got 8 reps!!!

I added THIRTY POUNDS to my incline presses too

I added TWENTY POUNDS to my t bar rows

i added TEN POUNDS to my shoulder press

YEAh, THE PUMP IS UNREAL.

My waist feels smaller but my muscles feel large and full. I had a
fantastic workout today.

what will be interesting to me is to see what I have left in the gas
tank for wednesdays workout.

this rocks.

Thanks to those of you who responded. I studied alot about the woe this past weekend and believe its for me.

second carb up weekend. actually had italian ice cream last night.

Today I added....ready for this?

THIRTY pounds to my squats
TEN pounds to my EZ bar curls
TEN pounds to my triceps pushdowns

I added a few reps to my db curls too but decided not to add weight.

Id say theres SOMETHING to this.

Sounds good, I've been meaning to give it a try. I've been going lowish carb lately eating far less grains and no junk food, but I notice I has less energy to lift weights. I may do it while including carbs on training days.

I struggled with energy when I started low carbing - Probably because I combined IF with very low carb (< 50 net a day) But after about 5-6 days of sticking with it with no refeeds I started to feel better. Now I can eat less than 50 grams of carbs a day and not even feel it. I have plenty of energy and have great workouts. I tried carbing up and I didn't really feel better or worse, so I don't use carbups for performance really, only when I have an occasional "cheat" on the weekends. So I guess you could call it the Anabolic Diet.
