Thumbs up 2 month anniversary- 29 lbs gone

Today is my 2 month anniversary on Atkins and I have lost a total of 29 lbs in 8 wks!!!

I started doing Atkins on May 9, 2007. I was previously doing low fat/calorie and was getting frustrated at how slowly I was losing (Started at 255 and lost only 8lbs in a month). I work out faithfully 5 days a week and sometimes 7 days a week. I always remember the mantra "Exercise is non-negotiable". Typically I do anywhere from 30-60 min of cardio plus 30-60 min of strength training and toning exercises. I have definitely seen greater definition in my legs and arms. I still have a lot of fat to lose but its nice to see my muscles getting more and more toned as the weeks pass.

Some of the benefits that I've seen while LC'ing are as follows:

-greater level of energy, much less tired
-glowing, clear complexion
-feeling satisfied and fuller
-less headaches (perhaps from omitting processed foods)
-less gastrointestinal issues (again, probably from omitting processed foods)
-no symptoms of PMS and TOM ...much lighter,no cramping, headaches, mood swings
-more confidence
-no carb cravings
-being able to listen to my body in regard to eating only when hungry
-feeling fuller after smaller meals

These are just a few of things that come to mind since having started Atkins. I will post pictures in the next two days so you can see my progress.

A lot of people were "Nay Sayers" when I first told them I was on Atkins and they have now changed their mind. They see my progress and many (even thin people who want to be toned) are telling me that I am their inspiration. This feels good and it inspires me to keep going....my results are far greater than I ever could have imagined and I can honestly say that I do not feel deprived at all!

Thanks for letting me share my milestone!

Have a super fabulous LC day!!

ps. This is my TOM so I could be retaining some water causing a little heavier weigh in this morning....although I do not feel exceptionally bloated.

Wow, you look fabulous! I was looking at your photos, and you can REALLY see the difference in your face! What an awesome accomplishment in only 2 months! I'm in my tenth week, and only down 27.5 pounds, but I'm so happy! Kudos to you!

Actually, I have. It seems mine have become more red, which I find odd as they are very old.
