Default A WELCOME and some Hot Tips for Newbies!!

hi everyone,

just stumbled upon the site a couple days ago. new gal on board. my stepdad (doctor) recommended protein power to me, as i have never "dieted" before and have some fat to lose (mother of 2 small children). i just stopped breastfeeding and am ready to have my body back!

i started LC'ing the 18th of november but decided to not worry on (U.S.) thanksgiving. i ate, but in moderation.

so i am back to square 1, just a few pounds lighter than the first square one. i'm glad there is so much info here!

Hi Lindsey...welcome!

I have three daughters oldest is 8 year old and the twins are 6 year old. I remember I started LC (first time around) right after I stopped breastfeeding the twins. The first week I stopped breastfeeding, I dropped 10 pounds. I am sure this was all water (milk?) weight. I didn't care what it was, I know I felt lighter after I stopped.

About a month after breastfeeding is when I got serious about LC and losing the weight. Within a year, from LCing and working out I lost 60+ pounds. I have been able to keep the weight off for about 6 years, now I gained about 15 pounds, due to lack of exercise and eating too many carbs.

So it is back to LCing for me!

Glad to have you on board. It can be rough losing the weight after having kids, but hang in there, it can be done.
