Default Lost my job today but I still didn't eat carbs - success

I just started Low carbs a week ago and today I lost my job that I have had for 17 years because of budget cuts and my position was eliminated. But even with all that stress I still ate on schedule. I really wanted a Captain Morgan and Coke sooooo bad. Proud of myself. When God closes a door he opens a window and I am excited to see what is next for my career.

Wow, that is rough... I went through that 5 years ago, let yourself grieve, 17 years is a long time, enjoy your new found free time to focus on yourself, and if you feel down, this is a great place for support.

So sorry about your job - robynsnest used exactly the right term "grieve". I'm so impressed at your willpower. It's awesome that in the face of a unexpected life change you kept on thinking of yourself and was strong.

Keep on going!

So sorry for your bad news! You are right about new opportunities opeing to you- things you hadn't even thoguht of... but be gentle with yourself.

BRAVO on avoiding the Coke! Stick to plan- you will ALWAYS be pleased with yourself for doing so.

Have a relaxing weekend- and take care.

Oh my goodness! Big hugs to you. I'm sure your body is thanking you for skipping the Coke!
