Unhappy sweet tooth nightmares

i have only been doing this really for aweek and a half, and dont miss starchy stuff so much (except crisps maybe), but really still get sweet cravings. today i had a single chocolate and wished i hadn't. then i was annoyed that i felt bad for having ONE chocolate, it sometimes feels a bit obsessional this way of dieting. i have found myself reading the carb level of EVERY yoghurt, chocolate dessert, trifle you name it. only to walk away really annoyed. i bought some wee yoplait fromage frais as they only have 7grams per 50grams of dessert. is that ok or am i cheating??i'm still in induction phase, but havent eaten them yet. someone stop me if i'm about to make a terrible mistake. cheers all. speak soon, annie xx

A suggestion? Instead of being annoyed, look at it as a learning process. You need this information to be successful. Shake your head in wonder at the amount of carbs everywhere!

And it's no more obsessional than counting fat grams or calories. In fact it's a lot easier. Once you know what not to eat, a whole range of what to eat opens.

Whether you can afford 7 grams of fromage frais is up to you. If it contains sugar, avoid it. You have 20 grams - minus fiber - in your carb bank. It may be a nice treat, but your carb allowance may be better used in eating vegetables and the fromage saved till after induction.
